A national conference presenter and clinical instructor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Belle is considered on of the leading experts on the Medical Approach to Treating Nicotine Dependency. He earned a doctorate degree in Nicotine Addiction Medicine from Harrington University in London, England. Moreover, he is a registered respiratory therapist and a physician assistant. He tutored under Dr. Linda H. Ferry of Loma Linda University School of Medicine whose research lead to the discovery of Zyban, a smoking cessation drug.
Dr. Belle conducts workshops and training for health care professionals in all aspects of smoking Cessation, including the treatment of adolescent and pregnant smokers. Currently he consults to various hospitals, professional medical associations and medical colleges. Dr. Belle is a speaker for GlaxoWellcome and SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals.
