    Kathy Beney is an Assistant Professor at the SUNY Upstate University in Syracuse, NY.  She holds a C.A.S. in educational administration, a M.S. degree in health education, and is earning a Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University's Teaching and Leadership Program. She holds undergraduate degrees in respiratory therapy and health education and has more than 25 years of professional field/teaching experience. Beney teaches classroom, clinical and laboratory concepts in the area of adult critical care medicine, and courses focusing on teaching strategies, curriculum planning, community health, respiratory care administration and neonatology. Her research interests are teaching and learning, and critical care medicine.
