Sanjeev Chhangani, MD

 


Dr. Chhangani was born in Sirsa, India and received his undergraduate at St. Francis Desales Jr. College in Nagpur, India. He earned is MD degree at Government Medical College in Nagpur, India. He completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. He started his residency at Cook County Hospital in Anesthesiology, and from there he continued at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He completed his fellowship at The University of Rochester Medical Center. His current position is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.

1.     Critical Care Billing Update

This talk will bring the attendees up-to-date on the proper documentation required for critical care billing codes (99291 and 99292), definition of critical care codes and common modifiers, and recent changes in “bundled services” in ICU.

2.     Evidence-Based Critical Care

This talk will review 1) Concept of Evidence-based practice (EBP) in Critical Care Medicine and 2) EBP for use of a) Steroids, b) Non-Invasive Positive Pressure ventilation in medical and surgical patients and c) Fluid management   in the critically ill.
